Billy Ray Brewer

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Billy Ray Brewer, son of the late Ray Brewer and Ruby Sexton Brewer, was born October 1, 1941 in marked Tree, Arkansas.  He went home to be with the Lord March 24, 2022 in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 80 years.  He was married to Ava Teague Brewer for 62 years and together they raised four daughters.  Bill spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  He spent most of his working years at the State Forestry service at Sugarloaf Tower, then at Fayetteville, then to Little Rock and Harrison.  He was a member of Lone Rock Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years:  Ava Teague Brewer; one brother Jerry Brewer; one sister-in-law:  Linda Mae Brewer of Truman; four daughters:  Vickey and Brett Stratton of Harrison, Cindy Brewer of Yellville; Karen and Dale Jones of Gassville; Mary and Patrick Sinyard of Fayetteville; grandchildren:  Joshua Stratton, Sarah Pendleton, Alex Judy, Colin Judy, Taylor Judy, Christopher Jones, Anna Jones, Isaac Jones, Colton Jones, Colton Sinyard and Natasha Tiritilli; nineteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents: one infant son:  Billy Ray Brewer, Jr; two brothers:  Roy Brewer and Henry Brewer; two sisters:  Linda Kay Sneathern and Berniece Simmons and one great grandson:  Tyler Michael Jones.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, March 26 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Burnt School House Cemetery in Lone Rock, Arkansas.
