Billie Doreen Herron Campbell

Of Franklin, Arkansas

Billie Doreen Herron Campbell, daughter of the late George Wesley Herron and Bertha Mae Shelton Herron, was born November 1, 1928 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 29, 2023 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 28 days.  She was united in marriage to Clay Benton Campbell and together they raised two sons. Billie spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years she worked at the Salem Shirt Factory and as the manager of Turkey Mountain Clubhouse, retiring after 15 years of employment.  She went on to own and operate Billie's Café in Franklin.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

Billie is survived by two sons:  Randall Campbell and wife Lydia of Glenco and Jack Campbell of Franklin; five grandchildren:  Bobby Joe Campbell, Scott Dewayne Campbell, Tami Lynn Bell, April Beth Campbell and Jackie Dean Campbell; 13 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers:  Glenis Herron, Arlie Herron, Clifton Herron, Joebe Herron.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, February 2 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Ron Helm officiating.  Burial will follow at Violet Hill Cemetery.
