Betty Ann Purcell Vest Bell

Betty Ann Purcell Vest Bell, daughter of the late William Leonard Purcell and Nora Kathryn Schollie Crider, was born March 6, 1936 in Concordia, Missouri. She departed this life September 28, 2018 at her home in Oxford, Arkansas at the age of 82 years; 6 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to James Bell. Betty spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was an ordained minister and a member of End-Time Handmaidens in Jasper, Arkansas. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel and went to Australia numerous times to attend ministerial seminars. During her working years, she worked as a nurses aide at several hospitals and nursing homes.
She is survived by one son: David Vest, Sr of Mountain Home; two daughters and one son-in-law: Katherine Vest of Mountain Home and Marcia and Dennis Bragg of Benton; nine grandchildren: Gina Turner (John), David Earl Vest, Jr, David Anthony Vest, Jennifer Dedek, Denny Hutchins (Kerry), Amanda Bragg, Melissa Powers Fell, Scott Vest and Justin Pollock; twenty great grandchildren: Jayla Turner, Jaeden Turner, Reagan Hutchins, Jaxon Hutchins, Drew Hatman, Chance Hatman, Cooper Hatman, Bailey Brown, Layla Pollock, Haylee Pollock, Caleb Pollock, DeWayne Pollock, Sophie Pollock, Jackson Pollock, Alayah Hammonds, Jason Fell, Scott Alan Vest, II, Skylar Vest, Cody Dale Hogg, Arabella Miller; two great great grandchildren: Ainsley Hammonds and Augustine Hammonds and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Leonard Purcell and one son: Dewayne Vest.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
