Bernice Alice Thomas was born August 9, 1949 in Manila, Arkansas. She departed this life November 29, 2018 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 20 days. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Baptist faith.

Bernice is survived by five children: Loretta Lee of Grove, Oklahoma, Becky Vaile of Melbourne, Jimmy McMahan of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Tammy Stauble of Melbourne and Dolly Vaile of Melbourne; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. Shew as preceded in death by her parents and one grandson: Brandon Edwards.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Monday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Robert Vaile, Tom Vaile, Dennis Lee, Terry Edwards, Justin Edwards, Steve Wofford.

Honorary Pallbearer: Jimmy McMahan.
