Bernice was born on December 6, 1927 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Henry and Addie (Hively) Whiteaker; she was one of 9 children. She was a graduate of Calico Rock High School Class of 1946. She married the love of her life Paul Boedeker on January 30, 1971.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Paul. Other survivors include a sister Edna (Whiteaker) Wallace and a brother Thadnell Whiteaker along with many nieces and nephews.

Bernice loved quilting and crocheting.

She will be dearly missed by her husband and family.
