Of Guion, Arkansas
Bennie Leon Hutchins, son of the late Bennie Velt Hutchins and Edith Jewel Davis Hutchins, was born May 12, 1944 in Salesville, Arkansas. He departed this life April 18, 2021 at his home in Guion, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 6 days. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Roller February 29, 1964 and together they raised 4 children. Leon spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Before moving to Guion, he was employed at General Motors in Kansas City, Missouri. While living in Guion, he worked mostly as a truck driver. Leon had many interest and hobbies. He was the proud owner/operator of the 3 Cow Ranch. He was an engineer of all things mechanical. He also had an artistic side that loved to paint and create. He was a member of the Church of God, an International Community.
Leon is survived by his wife of 57 years: Linda Sue Hutchins of the home; four children: Deborah Harvell and husband Anthony of Farmington, Tammy Dawn Moser and husband Pidge of Stella, Bennie Arthur Hutchins of Melbourne and Marlinda Jewelmay Jones and husband Frankie of Salem; one brother: Gary Hutchins and wife Carol of Conway; two sisters: Geta Seay of Ft. Smith, Bonita Mez of Platte City, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Olevia Wetzel, Lindsey Wetzel, Jordan Hutchins (Niki), Emily Moser, Tanner Love (Dayna), Spencer Love and Owen Love; three great grandchildren: Lucy Mae Linn, Jay Hutchins, Jaxon Hutchins and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; one sister: Delma Jennings; one great granddaughter: Zinnia Love.
Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Combs Cemetery in Melbourne with Roger Tye officiating. Funeral arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers: Jordan Hutchins, Tanner Love, Owen Jones, Anthony Harvell, Lawson Linn and Frankie Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers: Pidge Moser, Spencer Love, David McKay and Bill Long.
