Beau Rufus Broadus

Of Bayfield, Colorado

Beau Rufus Broadus, son of Bradford Rufus Broadus and Cynthia Gail Hodges Broadus, was born May 15, 1981 in Amarillo, Texas.  He departed this life on February 7, 2026 in Bayfield, Colorado at the age of 44.  Beau spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, provider and friend.  Beau's early career was spent constructing telecommunication towers across the country and later as a hazardous materials driver in Colorado.  His children remember Beau as a good father, who took really good care of them and he was good at making people laugh, especially in his racoon hat.  Beau's brother Brax says "My brother will be remembered as a guiding presence in my life - my best friend, my constant companion, my source of strength and the one with whom I shared countless memories and some of the best times of my life."

Beau is survived by four children:  Taylor, Hannah, Asher and Oliver Broadus; his father:  Brad Broadus of Calico Rock; his mother:  Cynthia Broadus of Arkansas; two brothers:  Brax Broadus and wife Melissa of Jonesboro, Brent Burgess and wife Prairie of Austin, Texas; one sister: Beth and Ron Thomas of Galveston, Texas; eight nieces and nephews: Madison, Angela, Preston, Josephine, Piper, Atticus, Braxton and Andrew; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles throughout Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas.  Beau was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Rufus Broadus, Bonnie Broadus, Ella Nora and Mark Hodges and uncle: Randy Broadus.

Memorial service will be held Monday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
