Barbara Jean Wolford Dale

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Barbara Jean Wolford Dale, daughter of the late John Wolford and Adis Needham Wolford, was born July 4, 1938 in Cushman, Arkansas. She departed this life April 30, 2023 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to James Teo Dale December 10, 1958 in Buckeye, Arizona and together they raised four children. Barbara spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent at Camcar Textron, Inc. in Belvidere, Illinois. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years: James Teo Dale of the home; four children: Silas Keith Ogilvie and wife Alison of Mount Pleasant, Barbara Polly Arlene Bledsoe and husband Jim of Union, Illinois, Jimmy Brian Dale of Melbourne and Douglas Todd Dale and wife Tresa of Machesney Park, Illinois; one brother: Jeffrey Wolford and wife Marilyn of Cushman; one sister: Johniece Goodnight of Kirkland, Illinois; five grandchildren: Aleisha (Eric) Hanson, Andrea Ogilvie, Kelsey-Ann (Brian) Melser, Ashleigh (Josh) Dale-Choe, Eli Dale; six great grandchildren: Aiden Rose Ogilvie, Alyssa Faivre, Lorelei Hanson, Alanna Ogilvie, Aubrey Ogilvie, Addyson Ogilvie and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, May 4 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with John Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman.

Pallbearers: Keith Oglivie, Brian Dale, Todd Dale, Jim Bledsoe, Darrell Dale and Nick Anderson.
