Angela Sue Dykes

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Angela Sue Dykes, daughter of the late Robert Schmidt and Ramona Covert Schmidt, was born January 14, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa.  She departed this life September 12, 2023 at her home in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 29 days.  She was united in marriage to Thomas Jefferson Dykes in Las Vegas, Nevada and together they four children.  Angela spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She was of the Catholic faith.

Angela is survived by her husband:  Thomas Dykes of Mount Pleasant; two sons:  David Dykes and wife Angela of Brockwell and Michael Dykes of Mount Pleasant; one daughter:  Jennifer Dykes of Salem;  siblings:  Sue Kracht, Bernie Seifert, Joe Schmidt, Teresa Drury, John Kane all of Iowa and Roxanne Hatfield and Joe Schmidt of Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren: David Dykes, Jr., Dylan Dykes, Morgan Smith, Paige Dykes, Alexus Cunningham, Wibur Roberts, Shayla Dykes, Keressa Campbell, Kaydie Campbell, Shyanne Empen, Angelia Brunner, Natalie Hatfield, Brantley McNich; three great grandchildren:  Evercynn Smith, Haisaly Dykes, Havyenn Smith and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one son:  T. J. Dykes; one great grandson:  Keith Morris and two brothers:  Steve Schmidt and Jim Schmidt.

No memorial service is planned at this time.
