Andrew William Gilbert
Of Batesville, Arkansas

Andrew William Gilbert, son of the late Wayland Gilbert and Frieda Jones Gilbert, was born
May 25, 1958 in Dinuba, California, moving with his parents to his mother's home town of
Batesville in 1972. He departed this life December 22, 2022 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of
64 years, 6 months and 27 days. Andy spent his life as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and
friend. As a Down Syndrome person, Andy was a beautiful soul. He had a good, very full life,
loved and supported by family and friends alike. When younger, he loved roller skating, at which
he excelled, bowling, riding his bike around Batesville and Mexican food!

For many years and at the time of his death, he resided at Catharine Robertson Barnett Group
Home in Batesville. He was employed by White River Specialized Industries.

He is survived by two sisters: Julie Pollard and husband Bob Cox, of Phoenix, Arizona and
Linda Buskey and husband Robert, of Melbourne; four nieces: Tammy, Traci, Nicky and
Yvonne; several great nieces and nephews, and his loving family and caregivers at Catharine
Robertson Barnett Group Home and White River Specialized Industries, along with a host of
other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

No memorial service is planned at this time.
