Alva Doyle "Buddy" Henderson
August 20, 1945 – November 4,2025

Alva Doyle Henderson, known by most as Buddy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife and family. Born on August 20, 1945, Buddy lived a life full of hard work, a deep love for his family & lots of laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandsons Marty Stuart, Michael Bennert, and Kaizer Stephens.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife Lula Belle Teague Henderson, his children Melody (Benny) Henderson, Tamara Henderson, Sherry (David) Stuart, Clayton (Patsy) Henderson, Casey (Elizabeth) Henderson, Hope (Allen) Roberts & Joy Stephens; his grandchildren Denver Hankins, Bryan Simpson, Jerry Walsh, Alex Hodges, Ashlyn Wilson, Brett & Kurstin Stuart, Jamie & Shawn Stuart, Matthew, Kiara, & Tristin Ralston, Connor & Maysa Henderson, Garrett, Jagger & Finn Roberts, Gaven, Emily, Kay, Jovi, & Rutley Stephens; several great grandchildren, and many other family members & friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Buddy was known for his sense of humor, kind heart, & the way he could make anyone feel at home. He loved his family, telling stories that made everyone laugh, working on vehicles, & spending time outdoors.

In honor of his wishes, Buddy generously donated his body to the Genesis Legacy Whole Body Program so that others might benefit from his final gift.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Memorial service will be Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Leon Morehead officiating.
