Alta Mae Jeffery Marchant
of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Alta Mae Jeffery Marchant, daughter of the late Stanley Jeffery and Pearl Moody Jeffery, was born June 21, 1929 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life January 5, 2022 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to Tom Marchant and together they raised two sons. Alta spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She and Tom enjoyed going to local dances.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Tom Marchant of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Robert Watson and wife Linda of Gainesville, Missouri; one sister: Lanell Hamby of Calico Rock; two grandchildren: Jason Watson and Misty Watson; one great grandson: Daniel Sawyer and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Darrell Watson and two sisters: Lorene Miller and Joyce Fuchs.
