Almeda Herron Thomas was born on July 27, 1931 in Izard County, Arkansas. She died August 31, 2023 in Conway, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of seventy years, Charles Thomas; by her parents, Preston and Ruth Herron; two brothers, Tildon Herron and Leroy Herron; two sisters, Janice Beasley and Jeraldine Herron. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Honeycutt and Donna Thomas; two grandsons, Freddy Honeycutt and Shane Honeycutt; two granddaughters, Deanna Reynolds and Cadence Valentine; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Almeda married her childhood sweetheart, Charles, in 1948. She served as a homemaker and later in life as a nursing aide at North Arkansas Life Care Center. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening and sewing.

Services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at two o'clock, at Eddie's Family Funeral in Melbourne with David Jennings officiating. Visitation will begin at one o'clock. Burial will be at the Godwin Cemetery, near Myron.
