Alena Maria LaCour Ostergrant – Treichel, daughter of the late Arnold LaCour and Geraldine Malach LaCour, was born August 20, 1938 in Dixon, Illinois. She departed this life August 4, 2020 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 81. She was united in marriage to William D. Ostergrant in June 1959 and together they raised four children. William passed in 2000.
Alena met Ronald Treichel through church choir and they were wed on July 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mountain View. Alena was a lifelong learner, became an entrepreneur when she turned her childhood sewing talent into a successful business called "Fashions in Miniature" where she designed, made and sold doll clothes to Marshall Fields in Chicago, Illinois. She loved music, travel, her grandchildren, and ice cream!
Alena is survived by her husband of six years Ronald Treichel; three children Jana Ostergrant and Donna Hemphill of Pearland, Texas; Lee and Robert Baker of Angola, Indiana; Andrew and Kelly Ostergrant of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Denise Ostergrant, daughter-in-law of Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Seven Grandchildren: Joshua Baker, Alyssa Baker, Hannah Ostergrant, Ben Ostergrant, Kennedy Ostergrant, Kylie Ostergrant and Shelby Tolar; and countless good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William and son Matthew W. Ostergrant and brother Robert LaCour.
Alena's family would like to thank the team of Hospice of North Arkansas for the loving care provided during her illness.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 10 th at 10:30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mountain View with Father Henry officiating
