Albert Lawrence Hellums

of Oxford, Arkansas

Albert Lawrence Hellums, son of the late James Troy Hellums and Melba Ray Owens Hellums, was born October 6, 1949 in Bandmill, Arkansas. He departed this life April 15, 2019 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 9 days. On December 29,1967 he was united in marriage to Mary Richartz and together they raised four sons. Before retiring, Albert worked as a self employed truck driver and farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Mary Hellums of the home; four sons and four daughters-in-law: Walter and Bethany Hellums of St. Peters, Missouri, Richard and Pam Hellums of Oxford, Michael and Jody Hellums of Granby, Missouri and Shawn and Susan Hellums of Franklin, three brothers: Stevie Hellums of Kansas City, Missouri, Leon Hellums of Melbourne, Ricky Hellums of Salem; two sisters: Louise Melton of Brockwell and Bonnie Hellums of Salem; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: James Hellums; one nephew: Jimmy Hellums and one niece: Amanda Crawford.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
