Nicholous Eugene Darmstaedter of Melbourne, Arkansas

Nicholous Eugene Darmstaedter, son of the late Nicholous Eugene Darmstaedter and Sylvia Naomi Cox Darmstaedter, was born September 10, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life February 23, 1913 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Hector on August 12, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his working years, he was employed as an Automotive Engineer. He retired from Wells Fargo Armored Services. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Cynthia Darmstaedter of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Alex and Nicole Darmsteadter of Rogers, Arkansas and Chester Darmsteadter of Melbourne; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Tracie and Dennis Flynn of Jackson, Tennessee and Terresa and Roger Adams of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two brothers: James Darmsteadter of Magness, Arkansas and Jack Darmsteadter of Germantown, Tennessee; four sisters: Magadelene Harris of Senatobia, Mississippi, Bonnie Elliot of Rapid City, South Dakota, Margaret Kepler of Amhurst, Ohio and Cynthia Laabs of Senotobia, Mississippi; thirteen grandchildren: Hailey Jackson, Ryan Flynn, Ellen Loyd, Juan Flynn, Keith Gillihan, Danial Gillihan, Adam Darmsteadter, Magyn Darmsteadter, Nicholous Darmsteadter, Rex Darmsteadter, Eric Darmsteadter and Sonja Darmsteadter; eight great grandchildren: Anna Riley Jackson, India Jackson, Lainie Darnall, Collins Flynn, Madelyn Lloyd, Cherysh Rone, Christian Bania and Kate Gillihan and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: John Darmsteadter.

Funeral service will be Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Elvis Sneathern officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Monday, February 25 beginning at 12 noon.
